Service Description

In this self-directed course, students create their own ceramic works, using the skills they have mastered in our hand building courses. Our qualified ceramicist is there to assist and offer guidance throughout the process. This course is guided by the interests and skills of the students, rather than a set program. Note: It is recommended that students enrolling in this course need to have previously completed handbuilding courses or equivalent with Art Mania or have a demonstrated prior knowledge of foundation techniques. What you get: * Access to qualified ceramics teacher * Use of all tools and equipment * 1 bag of clay inclusive. All extra clay used can be purchased on site at additional cost. * Use of onsite glaze and underglaze. * All firing of work made on site incisive in price anything made offsite will incur an additional firing cost. Tea/Coffee and soft drinks are available for a $2 gold coin donation. *What to bring/wear *An old towel is a MUST *Apron *Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty *Closed in shoes *Warm clothes in cooler months *Your ideas and creativity *Snacks and water if desired If you require additional clay, the Studio has plenty in the retail area ready for you. The cost of the course includes all materials and glazes etc for 5 weeks.
